Environment - Mandatory septic system inspections
"Floyd closer to mandatory septic system inspections" is the headline to this story today in the Louisville Courier-Journal. Some quotes:
The Floyd County Plan Commission voted unanimously last night to require county inspections of septic systems when homes are sold and inspections of construction sites to ensure that developers control runoff. The requirements are mandated by federal and state environmental agencies, said John Reisert, a member of the Plan Commission and president of the Floyd County Board of Commissioners.
