Ind. Courts - Fort Wayne attorney suspended for at least 18 months
The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette's Rebecca S. Green reports today:
The Indiana Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Commission suspended a Fort Wayne attorney for at least 18 months beginning in February, finding that he engaged in attorney misconduct..The story goes on to detail the four counts against Rathburn.Charles James Rathburn Jr. was suspended for failing to act with reasonable diligence and promptness, failing to keep a client reasonably informed about a matter and collecting an unreasonable fee or an unreasonable amount for expenses, among other things, according to a ruling from the Indiana Supreme Court issued Thursday.
According to the order, Rathburn failed to answer the commission’s amended complaint or appear for a hearing on the matter
