Ind. Decisions - Still more on: Federal court grants preliminary injunction re judicial speech rights

Updating this ILB entry from May 6, 2008, which reported that:

Today Judge Springmann has issued a 36-page opinion and order in the case of Torrey Bauer, et al. v. Randall T. Shepard, et al., granting a preliminary injunction enjoining the enforcement of certain provisions of the Indiana Code of Judicial Conduct.
Today Judge Springmann vacated her injunction and dismissed the case.

Here is the 71-page opinion.

Here are earlier ILB entries re Torrey Bauer. Recall that there are two plaintiffs in tthe case:

On April 18, 2008, IRL along with Torrey Bauer, an attorney and (at that time) a candidate for judge of the Kosciusko Superior Court, and Judge David Certo of the Marion Superior Court, instituted this lawsuit against members of the ICJQ and the IDC in their official capacities.
