A hearing officer has recommended that former Marion County prosecutor Carl Brizzi be cleared of disciplinary charges.ILB: The ILB will try to post a copy of the hearing officer's recommendation. It is a public document. See this ILB entry from Nov. 11, 2010, that linked to then-Judge David's recommendation on Mark McKinney.Judge Charles Charles D. O’Connor, Jr., recommended the dismissal of charges that Brizzi made inappropriate comments about two murder cases, said a clerk in O’Connor’s office.
The recommendation was sent to the Indiana Supreme Court, which will make the final decision but is not bound by the recommendations. Each side has 30 days to submit petitions to the court for further review, said Kathryn Dolan, a spokeswoman for the court.
