Law - California bill would require warrant to search cell phone
Bob Egelko at the San Francisco Chronicle reports that:
California legislators are nearing a final vote on a cell phone privacy bill that could force Gov. Jerry Brown to choose sides between civil liberties advocates and police.The California Supreme Court allowed such warrentless searches in a January ruling. See the long story here.
