Ind. Gov't. - Ind. State Bar Ass'n. sponsoring "Law School for Legislators"

This sounds fascinating! For legislators and staff only. This should be especially helpful for non-lawyer legislators. CLEs available for attorney attendees. Here is the announcement:

ISBA Law School for Legislators

The Day BEFORE Organization Day, Monday, Nov. 21

Please join your fellow legislators for an afternoon of education & discussion.

1:00-2:30 p.m. - Opening Up the Courtroom Doors

This session will explore how Indiana judges are selected, the funding of courts, federal and state constitutional challenges, and the methods courts use in interpreting statutes. Audience participation will be encouraged through use of remote keypads and open discussion of recent cases.

2:40-3:50 p.m. - When Rules Become Laws: the Powers of State Government

This session will explore rulemaking and adjudication by state administrative agencies. This session will also have a strong emphasis on environmental law, one of the most government-regulated areas of law and will provide some helpful tips to resolve environmental issues in your district.
